Almira was founded in 2000, when the current managing director, Schalk Cadle, started his own financial and business management consulting firm after having consulted leading businesses on a part-time basis for the previous 14 years.

Schalk started his financial and business management career as an accountant and quickly moved into the financial management and business management areas. Many companies, mainly within the SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) market, were formed by Schalk in conjunction with clients or partners.

Schalk took this interest in business and financial management further and completed an MCom in 2009, with the specific interest in Venture and Angel Capital. His qualifications and experience are an extremely valuable asset to any business.

In 2010, Schalk was joined by Adriaan Jansen van Vuuren, a professional accountant with a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree and many years of accounting experience.

He cut his teeth in the manufacturing sector and implemented important systems within the Finance department. Adriaan thrives in a challenging environment and strives to find the best possible solution in order to enhance the efficient management of your business.

Together, Schalk & Adriaan offer a hands-on approach to serving clients and helping where they can, in order to run your business more effectively.
